Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration with superconducting qubit platforms
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish 3-5 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure $2M+ in external funding
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and mitigation strategies
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
