Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware-software co-development initiatives to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Collaborate with cryptography teams to develop quantum-resistant security protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Present findings at quantum computing conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI, materials science, and nanotechnology divisions
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics principles
- Demonstrated experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubit systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with high-performance computing experience
- Track record of securing quantum computing research grants or patents
- Experience mentoring PhD-level researchers in quantum computing domains
