Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era hardware optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published peer-reviewed research on quantum error correction or algorithm design
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with low-level hardware optimization experience
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence principles
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems (D-Wave, IBM Quantum)
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
