Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
- Secure competitive research grants and strategic partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Proficiency in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience securing NSF or DOE research grants preferred
