Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum error correction methodologies
- Develop novel quantum machine learning frameworks for predictive analytics
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit designs
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-doctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature or Science journals on quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated experience with quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, QASM)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
