Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization
- Lead research teams in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software and physical qubit implementations
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and develop quantum computing curricula for 2026 workforce readiness
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from top-tier institution
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design using Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum algorithm complexity or quantum error correction
- Expertise in at least two quantum computing frameworks: Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC) and GPU acceleration
- Demonstrated success securing quantum computing research grants
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and information theory
