Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and market shifts affecting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and execute strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with C-suite vision and business objectives
- Chair cross-functional 'Future Councils' to synthesize insights from AI, biotech, and quantum computing domains
- Prototype and validate future-state solutions through our Innovation Accelerator program
- Present compelling future scenarios to stakeholders and secure executive buy-in for transformational initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists and build a world-class foresight capability within the organization
- Author thought leadership publications that position FutureWorks as the future's definitive voice
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or future-focused leadership roles
- Proven track record of successfully commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: AI ethics, quantum computing, neuro-technology, or climate innovation
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to translate complex future scenarios into actionable strategies
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Experience securing $10M+ budgets for experimental innovation programs
- Published author or keynote speaker at global innovation conferences (e.g., Davos, CES)
- Portfolio showcasing at least three industry-defining future-state implementations
