Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities/disruptions impacting 2026+ business landscapes
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for organizational resilience
- Partner with R&D and product teams to integrate future-ready innovations into development roadmaps
- Deliver executive briefings and stakeholder workshops on emerging technologies and societal shifts
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry thought leaders
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports with data-driven recommendations for strategic pivots
- Mentor junior strategists and champion future-thinking across departments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and socio-political dynamics
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to synthesize complex insights for executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or strategy publications (e.g., Harvard Business Review)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
