Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end innovation lifecycle from ideation to market-ready solutions for 2026 technology horizons
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for emerging tech integration (AI, quantum, biotech, Web3)
- Manage cross-functional R&D teams and external innovation partners across 3+ continents
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis to identify disruptive opportunities
- Secure $10M+ in innovation funding through venture partnerships and government grants
- Present vision to C-suite and board with data-driven strategic recommendations
- Build and nurture an internal innovation lab with cutting-edge prototyping capabilities
Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or venture development
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with $50M+ market impact
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, quantum computing, or synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (PhD/MBA preferred)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley, Austin, and global innovation ecosystems
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and corporate venture capital
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
