Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatment preparations
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records using EHR systems with precision and confidentiality
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and handle insurance verification
- Support front desk operations during peak weekend hours
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays (6am-6pm shifts)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
