Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage scheduling systems for weekend clinic operations
- Assist with patient intake, registration, and insurance verification processes
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless weekend care delivery
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Address patient inquiries and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Support weekend administrative tasks including inventory management and supply ordering
- Facilitate smooth transitions between weekend and weekday care teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in healthcare preferred
- 1+ years experience in healthcare administration or patient services
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or Cerner experience a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to de-escalate situations
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to cover varied weekend shifts (Saturdays/Sundays)
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
