Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, inspect, and organize incoming stock to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move heavy materials safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Perform routine quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards before shipping.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and cross-functional departments to resolve logistical issues.
- Shipment Preparation: Label, wrap, and secure packages for outbound delivery trucks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or retail is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions (if applicable).
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional overtime.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and attendance.
- Communication: Basic reading and writing skills; ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Equipment Operation: Willingness to obtain certification for forklift or powered pallet jack operation.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
