Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, biotech) through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for technology adoption aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into product development priorities
- Author quarterly trend briefings for C-suite executives and investor relations teams
- Establish industry partnerships with research labs (MIT Media Lab, Singularity University) and innovation accelerators
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory impacts on technology adoption timelines
- Build proprietary foresight frameworks using scenario planning and Delphi methodology
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D planning
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI, synthetic biology)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical data into actionable insights
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience to executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology forecasting or strategic innovation
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., Association of Professional Futurists)
