Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms targeting 2026-era hardware capabilities
- Lead research teams in error correction optimization and fault-tolerant architecture
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Publish in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and optimization
- Strong leadership background in R&D environments
