Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning research and trend analysis for 2026-2030 technological and societal shifts
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI alignment)
- Design scenario-planning frameworks to mitigate existential risks and capitalize on disruptive opportunities
- Partner with R&D teams to accelerate innovation pipelines for next-generation solutions
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members through compelling narratives
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, conference keynotes, and industry publications
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies and strategic foresight
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5-10 year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- PhD or advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field
- Published thought leadership in technology strategy or futurism (Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Experience advising C-suite executives on long-term strategic positioning
