In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, AI researchers, and product teams to embed ethical principles into our AI lifecycle. You'll develop proactive governance strategies, conduct bias audits, and lead stakeholder engagements to ensure our AI systems align with emerging global regulations while fostering public trust.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics governance frameworks aligned with IEEE 7001, EU AI Act, and emerging global standards
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits and impact assessments for all AI products using proprietary Nexus Ethical Matrix
- Lead cross-functional ethics task forces including engineers, data scientists, and compliance specialists
- Develop real-time monitoring systems for AI system fairness, transparency, and accountability metrics
- Represent Nexus at international AI ethics forums (WTO, OECD, IEEE) and contribute to policy development
- Create AI ethics training programs for 500+ employees and establish certification pathways
- Oversee third-party AI vendor assessments and ethical compliance due diligence
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Ethics, Law, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Proven expertise in developing AI ethics frameworks with measurable KPIs (e.g., fairness scores, transparency metrics)
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes: EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and evolving US federal guidelines
- Published research or white papers on AI ethics with citations in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience leading cross-organizational ethics initiatives with measurable impact on product development
- Proficiency in ethical AI toolkits (e.g., IBM AI Fairness 360, Google's What-If Tool)
- Exceptional stakeholder communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
