Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI governance frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI
- Lead cross-functional ethics audits of AI products before deployment
- Design bias mitigation protocols for large-scale ML models
- Establish transparency standards for explainable AI (XAI) implementations
- Collaborate with legal teams on regulatory compliance for emerging AI legislation
- Advocate for ethical AI principles through industry consortiums and policy forums
- Mentor junior researchers on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethical technology leadership
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and evolving global AI regulations
- Proven track record implementing bias detection tools in production ML systems
- Experience with stakeholder engagement across technical, legal, and public sectors
- Publishing record in AI ethics journals or conference proceedings
- Proficiency in Python for algorithmic bias auditing
