As our inaugural AI Ethics & Policy Director, you'll architect the governance framework for our quantum-encrypted AI systems, ensuring alignment with evolving global standards while driving innovation that prioritizes human dignity and societal benefit.
This role bridges technical leadership and strategic policymaking, requiring you to collaborate with quantum computing teams, regulatory bodies, and international ethics councils. You'll pioneer our 'Ethical-by-Design' methodology while representing our commitment to transparent AI development at global forums.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks for quantum-ML systems
- Lead cross-functional task forces on bias mitigation, algorithmic transparency, and data sovereignty
- Advocate for ethical AI standards before regulatory bodies and industry coalitions
- Conduct horizon-scanning on emerging ethical risks in generative AI and biotech convergence
- Design audit protocols for autonomous decision-making systems across healthcare and logistics
- Partner with legal teams to shape next-generation AI liability frameworks
- Mentor ethics champions across engineering and product teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or Juris Doctor with AI specialization
- 10+ years in tech ethics, policy, or compliance with Fortune 500 experience
- Published research on algorithmic bias or AI governance in peer-reviewed journals
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and OECD AI Principles
- Proven track record influencing global tech policy (e.g., via WEF or IEEE)
- Technical fluency in quantum computing architectures and LLM optimization
- Experience scaling ethics programs across multinational organizations
