You'll design governance protocols for autonomous systems, audit algorithmic fairness, and lead cross-functional initiatives ensuring our AI aligns with human values. This role sits at the intersection of technology policy, machine learning, and philosophy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics frameworks aligned with ISO 38507 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct bias audits on machine learning models using SHAP/LIME methodologies
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical safeguards in MLOps pipelines
- Lead stakeholder workshops on AI transparency and accountability
- Monitor global regulatory trends and advise on compliance strategies
- Author public-facing transparency reports and ethics whitepapers
- Mentor junior data scientists on responsible AI practices
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in AI governance or tech policy roles
- Expertise in fairness metrics (disparate impact, equal opportunity)
- Proficiency with Python/R for algorithmic auditing tools
- Published research on algorithmic bias or AI ethics
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF)
- Strong stakeholder communication across technical/non-technical domains
- Certification in Responsible AI (e.g., IBM AI Ethics, Google ML Fairness)
