Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun) in our specialized health facility
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols with precise documentation
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies following established protocols
- Collaborate with weekday staff through electronic health records for seamless continuity of care
- Lead patient education sessions focusing on weekend-specific health management
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital safety standards
- Participate in weekend staff development and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN or LVN license with active status
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- ACLS/BLS certification with weekend shift availability
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills for patient-family interactions
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
