Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and support during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the medical team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Document patient information and care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field (BSN preferred)
- Current Nebraska RN license or equivalent healthcare certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care or hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities
