Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care during weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday, 12-hour rotations)
- Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Mentor new staff and participate in weekend shift quality initiatives
- Coordinate discharge planning and patient education protocols
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
- 2+ years acute care hospital experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Weekend shift availability mandatory
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
