Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun) with minimal weekday hours
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and nursing teams for urgent patient needs
- Manage patient intake, assessments, and treatment plans according to protocols
- Document clinical information accurately in our electronic health records system
- Provide patient education and discharge planning support
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (RN) or related healthcare field
- Current, unrestricted Illinois healthcare license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong communication skills with ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends with minimal weekday hours
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
