Responsibilities
- Develop 2026-2030 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and autonomous systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype next-gen AI models with ethical guardrails
- Identify emerging tech disruptions and create mitigation/adoption strategies
- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Oversee $15M+ annual R&D budget allocation for future-focused initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on 2026 tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 scale experience
- Proven track record in launching at least two 5-year+ tech roadmaps
- Expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or climate tech solutions
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published author in IEEE Spectrum, Nature Futures, or equivalent
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/R preferred)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy frameworks (US/EU/Asia)
- Experience securing $10M+ in government innovation grants
