Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging tech solutions (quantum computing, advanced AI, Web3)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for future-facing technologies
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Create technology governance frameworks for ethical AI deployment and data sovereignty
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on technological disruption risks
- Mentor junior engineers in future-proof development methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech roles
- Proven expertise in at least two future tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Experience with technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Strong track record of scaling experimental projects into commercial products
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex technical concepts
- CISSP or CTO-level certification preferred
