Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies with 2026+ disruptive potential (quantum computing, neural interfaces, climate tech)
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning technological capabilities with market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and investment teams
- Present foresight insights to C-suite and board members through compelling narratives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and emerging tech startups
- Build and lead a specialized future technologies research unit
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record identifying and scaling breakthrough technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI ethics, quantum applications, or climate tech
- Experience developing 5-10 year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts for executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or future studies
