Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (quantum AI, neurotech, decentralized systems)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions with 18-24 month deployment horizons
- Conduct horizon scanning of academic breakthroughs and patent landscapes
- Partner with C-suite to align tech strategy with market disruption timelines
- Present innovation portfolios to venture capitalists and industry consortiums
- Drive R&D investments in emerging hardware/software ecosystems
- Mentor junior strategists in future-proof methodologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning with proven 2020s innovations
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Track record of scaling technologies from lab to market
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published research in IEEE/Nature or equivalent tier
- Experience with scenario planning for technological discontinuities
- Strong network with global research institutions
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Futures Studies preferred
