Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives for emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, Web3)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape studies in futuristic domains
- Present strategic briefings to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships
- Mentor a team of 5+ technology futurists and researchers
- Publish industry thought leadership in top-tier tech publications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech focus
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least 3 futuristic domains: AI governance, AR/VR ecosystems, or sustainable tech
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight methodology training
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed journals
- Experience securing government innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
