Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate-tech AI
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to prototype 2026-ready solutions
- Analyze market trends and regulatory landscapes to identify disruptive opportunities
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech into commercial offerings
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and venture partners
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology methodologies
- Secure and manage $5M+ innovation grants from federal and private sectors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record in scaling R&D initiatives from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum, biotech, or climate AI
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in IEEE Nature or top-tier innovation journals
- Experience securing federal innovation grants (SBIR/STTR)
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
