Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026+ societal trends
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging domains (quantum AI, synthetic biology, carbon capture)
- Partner with C-suite to align tech strategy with business objectives
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and patent research
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPIs
- Present future scenarios to investors and board members
- Mentor junior researchers in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in emerging technologies
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent field
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proven track record scaling tech ventures from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, fusion energy
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Experience securing government innovation grants
