Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including quantum AI, biotech convergence, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineers, designers, and venture capitalists
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of breakthrough technologies
- Forge strategic partnerships with MIT Media Lab, NASA, and other future-focused institutions
- Present technology foresight insights to C-suite and board of directors
- Manage $10M+ innovation budget for prototype development and pilot programs
- Curate annual 'FutureTech Summit' featuring thought leaders from 50+ countries
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- 10+ years experience in technology strategy at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in IEEE Nature on emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to $100M+ revenue
- Deep understanding of exponential technology trends (Moore's Law 2.0, etc.)
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, R, or quantum Q#)
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston
