Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology vision roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (AR/VR, quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders for R&D collaboration
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present technology strategy to investors, board members, and executive stakeholders
- Drive patent strategy and IP portfolio development for breakthrough innovations
- Mentor technical teams in future-proofing architectures and adaptive methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized tech products from R&D to market
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience building technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and research institutions
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Technology Foresight (e.g., CFAI, APF)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
