Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market forecasts and emerging trends
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized systems
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for 2026+ tech landscapes
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused KPIs
- Present strategic briefings to stakeholders including board members and government liaisons
- Build and mentor a high-performing future-tech incubation team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ in leadership roles
- Proven track record in launching future-oriented products/services
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI, blockchain, AR/VR, quantum computing
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (IEEE, ACM, or equivalent)
- Experience with federal/state innovation grant programs (SBIR, DARPA)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystems
