Responsibilities

- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields: quantum computing, neural interfaces, and AI ethics
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies for strategic acquisition or partnership
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite stakeholders and board members
- Build and lead a team of futurists, researchers, and innovation specialists
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget through compelling business cases
- Establish industry thought leadership through white papers and conference keynotes
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years at director/VP level
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products post-2020
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum, biotech, or AGI
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published author in technology forecasting or innovation strategy
- Experience securing $10M+ R&D budgets from institutional investors
- Proficiency in scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Network of 50+ C-level relationships in Fortune 500 tech firms
