Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026
- Develop and maintain 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with corporate vision and market disruptions
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, governments, and industry pioneers
- Present foresight insights to executive leadership and board members to inform strategic decisions
- Mentor innovation teams in future-proof methodologies and scenario planning techniques
- Author annual 'Future State' reports and thought leadership content for industry publications
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR)
- Exceptional scenario planning and trend analysis skills with portfolio of published forecasts
- Experience advising C-suite executives on long-term technology strategy
- Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate complex future concepts to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (white papers, journals, books)
- Certification in strategic foresight or futures studies preferred
