Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions through 2030
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for enterprise innovation
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions addressing climate, AI, and biotech convergence
- Deliver executive briefings and trend reports to guide multi-billion-dollar investment decisions
- Curate cross-functional innovation sprints with MIT, Stanford, and global research institutions
- Architect ethical frameworks for emerging technologies in post-quantum computing and neurotech
- Lead thought leadership initiatives publishing in journals like Future Studies Review and Tech Horizon Quarterly
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, Systems Thinking, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (white papers, journals, conferences)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from APF or WFS) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major innovation initiatives launched from foresight work
