What you'll achieve: Identify disruptive trends 3-5 years ahead, design future-proof business models, and lead high-impact innovation sprints. Your insights will directly influence $500M+ R&D investments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across biotech, AI, quantum, and climate tech domains
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for 2026-2030 market landscapes
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops with C-suite executives
- Author forward-looking thought leadership for industry conferences
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout emerging startups
- Design ethics-first governance protocols for autonomous systems
- Present trend briefings to board members and government stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, futures research, or tech consulting
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial opportunities
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or MBA
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech verticals
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Published thought leadership in futurist or innovation publications
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ future-shaping initiatives
