This role sits at the intersection of technology foresight, business strategy, and human-centered design, driving our organization's evolution in an exponentially changing world.
As a key member of our Innovation Lab, you'll leverage cutting-edge analytical frameworks and cross-industry insights to identify paradigm shifts, quantify disruption risks, and position Horizon Dynamics as a market shaper. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to translate future intelligence into actionable roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across 15+ emerging technology domains (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Develop scenario-based strategic roadmaps for 2026-2030 market evolution
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight into product development cycles
- Author quarterly disruption briefs for executive stakeholders and board members
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and academic pioneers
- Quantify future market opportunities using predictive modeling and scenario planning
- Champion human-centered design principles in future-state solution prototyping
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, consulting, or R&D leadership roles
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and disruption forecasting
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (required)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
