Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps anticipating technological and societal shifts post-2025
- Lead horizon scanning research across AI, biotech, and sustainable energy sectors
- Design strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers
- Present future scenarios to executive leadership and board committees
- Oversee pilot programs for emerging technologies with $2M+ annual budget
- Author thought leadership pieces published in industry journals
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futurism, or technology consulting
- Proven track record developing long-term technology roadmaps
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, or neurotech)
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Foresight methodologies (e.g., CFM) preferred
- Experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Published research or whitepapers on technological disruption
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks and sustainable innovation
