Responsibilities
- Scan horizon technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to incubate futuristic product concepts
- Present strategic insights to C-suite stakeholders and venture partners
- Build ecosystem partnerships with leading research institutions and startups
- Author thought leadership on future trends and ethical implications
- Mentor teams in futuristic thinking methodologies and scenario planning
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Technology, Strategy, or Future Studies (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation journals
- Experience with horizon scanning frameworks (Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley and global innovation ecosystems
