Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Futurist Strategist to architect the next wave of innovation for 2026 and beyond. As a key member of our leadership team, you will decode emerging technological paradigms, societal shifts, and market disruptions to shape our company's decade-long roadmap. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to embed foresight into product development, market expansion, and sustainability initiatives.
In this role, you'll lead cross-functional teams through scenario planning workshops, produce high-impact trend reports, and establish strategic partnerships with research institutions and thought leaders. Your insights will directly influence our $2B innovation portfolio and position us as industry pioneers in an era of exponential change.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive 2026-2035 foresight framework incorporating AI, quantum computing, and bio-convergence trends
- Lead quarterly trend-deciphering sessions with executive stakeholders to align strategic priorities
- Produce annual Future State Reports with actionable recommendations for business units
- Design and facilitate innovation sprints to prototype solutions for anticipated market disruptions
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and policy influencers
- Integrate sustainability and ethical foresight into all strategic planning processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Future Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurism with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategies (portfolio examples required)
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and exponential technology assessment
- Exceptional storytelling skills to communicate complex future scenarios to diverse audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation (white papers, journals, or books)
- Deep understanding of geopolitical, environmental, and technological megatrends
