Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies, geopolitical shifts, and societal trends with 2026+ implications
- Develop and publish strategic foresight reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive decision-making
- Collaborate with R&D to align innovation pipelines with future market needs and disruption vectors
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight thinking into product development and business strategy
- Monitor and analyze global signals (AI, climate tech, biotech, etc.) to anticipate industry inflection points
- Present strategic recommendations to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and narrative storytelling
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and thought leaders for trend intelligence
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, corporate foresight, or innovation leadership with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systems thinking methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, AGI, synthetic biology) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks adopted by organizations
- Fluency in forecasting tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrices) and data visualization platforms
