Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies, market shifts, and societal evolutions impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and publish annual 'Future State' whitepapers and strategic frameworks for executive decision-making
- Architect innovation roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, biotech, and sustainable tech breakthroughs
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary workshops with R&D, product, and marketing teams to embed futurist principles
- Partner with venture capital arm to scout and evaluate next-gen startups and emerging opportunities
- Design scenario-planning models for geopolitical, climate, and technological disruption scenarios
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences and thought leadership platforms
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futurism, Systems Thinking, Strategic Innovation, or equivalent (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications or peer-reviewed journals
- Certification in Futures Studies or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Exceptional data storytelling and visualization capabilities using tools like Tableau/Power BI
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term transformation strategies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-back strategy implementations
