Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (Gartner, WEF, MIT Tech Review) to identify disruptive technologies with 2026-2030 impact
- Develop strategic roadmaps for AI-human symbiosis, decentralized infrastructure, and climate-positive tech
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align engineering, product, and investment teams on future capabilities
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption readiness and ROI projection for emerging solutions
- Author thought leadership for industry conferences and Horizon Dynamics' Future Outlook journal
- Maintain ecosystem partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and quantum computing research institutions
- Present quarterly futures briefings to the board with scenario-planning recommendations
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, emerging tech analysis, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend forecasts with 80%+ accuracy (2019-2023)
- Expertise in at least 3 of: AI ethics frameworks, quantum algorithm design, neurotech interfaces, or carbon capture tech
- Experience with scenario planning tools (STEEP-LE, Delphi method) and data visualization (Tableau, Flourish)
- Proven ability to translate complex tech concepts for executive and technical audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or equivalent field
- Security clearance preferred for government collaboration opportunities
