Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures during evening/weekend hours
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Manage patient documentation and electronic health records
- Administer injections and medications as per physician orders
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain)
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic/EHR preferred)
- Pass background check and drug screening
