Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and monitoring during overnight and weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient vitals and care activities accurately in EMR systems
- Respond to emergency situations following established protocols
- Coordinate with day-shift staff for seamless care transitions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges during off-peak hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA or medical assistant certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare or similar setting
- Valid CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Flexibility to work variable weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods
