Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and vital sign monitoring during night/weekend shifts
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and triage during high-traffic periods
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless care continuity
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and weekends
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and schedules
