Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support during assigned night/weekend shifts
- Monitor patient vitals and document observations in electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Respond to patient emergencies and coordinate with on-call physicians
- Collaborate with day-shift staff for seamless continuity of care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Support patient families with education and emotional assistance
Qualifications
- Current California CNA or LVN license required
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- Availability for flexible weekends and nights (Fri-Sun, 11pm-7am)
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Proficient with EHR systems (Epic experience a plus)
