Responsibilities
- Design and implement hybrid quantum-neural network architectures for enterprise-scale AI applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists and ML engineers in cutting-edge R&D
- Develop proprietary quantum algorithms with exponential speedup over classical approaches
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and at premier conferences
- Establish strategic partnerships with quantum hardware providers like IBM Quantum and Rigetti
- Mentor PhD researchers and patent at least 3 quantum AI innovations annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, or Physics with 5+ years of industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum/AI journals (h-index >20)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Strong background in complex algorithm design and computational complexity theory
- Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated success in building high-performance research teams
