Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for AI model acceleration and optimization
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals and present at global tech symposiums
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical quantum concepts with practical implementations
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in advanced quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Minimum 5 years in quantum algorithm development or quantum machine learning research
- Published record in Nature/Science or top-tier conference proceedings
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical AI frameworks
- Proven experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities for complex multi-variable systems
